Thirty-three Americans died yesterday. Shot dead in cold blood, and I cannot find a single cable news channel discussing anything else. How many Iraqis died yesterday? That "factoid" would never crawl the ticker. It's a gruesome thing to lose a child. I cannot really imagine that arena of pain. These kids aren't the only ones who died. 28,000 children died of starvation yesterday, and 28,000 more children will die tomorrow - children we could save, and 28,000 the next day, and the next day. The United States slaughtered millions of peasants and farmers in the pacific rim. Every 24 months drunk drivers kill more people than died in the entire Vietnam war. Papa Doc killed 100,000+ in his short reign. The killing fields were millions - the examples are endless. 911 killed around 3,000 people - insignificant - hardly even worth a footnote. Stalin, Hitler, Idi Amin, Pol Pot, etc. they were putting up serious numbers. America slaughters innocent people in unimaginable numbers - ask Nicaraguans, Iraqis, Kurds, Grenadians, Panamanians, Columbians, ask the Timorese how many hundreds of thousands of their women and children have been butchered by U.S. weapons. We are the number one global agents of death. A recent Pakistani earthquake killed 300,000. That starts to approach real numbers. Death comes with a crawl, or comes with a pounce, but when you compare death in America to death in most countries - we are practically
immortal. If only 33 corpses showed up each morning in the Baghdad morgue it would be cause for celebration! Champagne for everyone! Only 33 bodies tortured to death! 33 corpses is death on an infinitesimal scale.
