L2 Burst Fracture

I feel like I was hit by a truck - because I was hit by a truck. Thursday at 2:31 on I-90 I was sideswiped by a semitruck. My car (two seater) flew off the highway into a cement wall, bounced off the wall and spun around a few times against the wall tearing off all four corners of the car. Upon seeing the remains of the car (and me walking around) the EMTs were a bit shocked that I was actually the driver. "You were the driver? Of THAT car?!" I was very lucky. The only damage my body sustained was an "L2 burst fracture". I spent Thursday going through all kinds of tests, x-rays, cat scans, etc. at Northwestern, and then was fitted for a body-brace. Please forgive me for cancelling the show last night - all your tickets will be refunded or honored for a future performance. I'm down, but I'm not fuckin out... and I will be posting pics of the wreck...

OHMY!
I've been out of communication and only now just read your blog. Actually haven't read the whole thing just the sentence where you said you were hit by a truck.

I'm sure you've answered all this, but are you okay?

My thoughts and prayers certainly with you. And I hope you have a very speedy recovery.

Hey, I just was looking online for this problem. I was recently in a car accident on I-90. I was on the way home to IL from WA state, and In Minnesota on I-90 my mom and I fell asleep driving and slammed into a brick wall going 75MPH, then spun through a guard rail and off the top of a viadock. I broke my spine and have a L2 burst fracture. I was just looking for some info on this. I too have a brace, its called a TLSO, maybe its the same you have. I was in the Mayo clinic in MN for 3 weeks and also spent a day in CT, Xray and every other thing. I am not paralyzed and I am almost out of my brace. If you can, Email me, please. If not, I understand.
Thanks
