Collaring Oscar

Hallelujah! Phil Hoffman finally got his Oscar. Reese, Ang, Haggis, et. al. Clooney is such a charming pro. Jon Stewart was so-so, and Lily & Meryl stole the show with their Altman tribute. Reese's gown was Christian Dior vintage 1955. Ben Stiller should be shot in the head. What did Joaquin mouth into the camera? I'm so proud of Phil Hoffman, I love his work. Jessica Alba's hair was beyond gorgeous, and I have gone from not giving a rat's ass about George Clooney to worshipping him (his post-show E! interview was masterful). Pretty average year all in all... will be nice to see the winners on Charlie Rose through the year.

Brokeback didn't get best picture. Ugh! I felt like I was punched in the stomach when they announced Crash.

Hoffmann! I loved him to tears in Flawless and Ripley...and did you ever see The Fifteen Minute Hamlet? I wanted Brokeback to win for cinemetography and musical score. Did that happen? Melody is right up there with the best for me: deeply affecting with tremendous staying power...As for Crash...I was a fan...also loved North Country and The Constant Gardner. Any news there...let me know K? I'm clueless at home this evening.

I actually went to my Virginal Oscar party. I had no idea that the Oscars and Academy Awards were the same thing...I am such a novice at times. I loved the Lily and Meryl bit - 2 of my fave actors.

*SIGH* I went to bed halfway through.

Oh well, maybe next year.

And Brokeback won all the awards in my dreams that night.....

Awww, you liked them...you really liked them. I don't watch award shows. But I enjoy witnessing your enjoyment vicariously... hope you are still happy in your new digs.
